Summer violin lessons with Meredith Amado on Wednesdays, July 24-August 28

Meredith Amado will be offering violin lessons to ECMI students each Wednesday at the Moore Center from July 24 through August 28.
ECMI lesson rates apply:
30 minute lessons – $35/lesson
45 minute lessons – $50/lesson
60 minute lessons – $60/lesson

An experienced and enthusiastic performer, Ms. Amado has been heard throughout the United States and Europe as a recitalist, chamber musician and orchestral musician. She is the former Associate Concertmaster of the Delaware Symphony, former Associate Concertmaster of the Oregon Ballet Orchestra, and spent six seasons performing with the Saint Louis Symphony, including two national tours.
A passionate advocate and performer of chamber music, Amado founded two chamber music series: one in Saint Louis and one in Wilmington, Delaware. She is a founding member of the mid-Atlantic based, Pyxis Piano Quartet – with whom she spent six years performing throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Ms. Amado is a committed teacher who understands the value of early, focused and caring guidance. She has introduced dozens of young students to music through her private teaching and at The School for Strings and Lucy Moses School (both in New York City). She has taught high school and college age students in the summers at North Carolina School for the Arts and Eastern Music Festival (NC), and served on the violin faculties of Saint Louis University and the Pennsylvania Academy of Music.
Ms. Amado received her music training at The Juilliard School, where she worked with some of the most influential pedagogues of her time.
From 2016-2018, Ms. Amado maintained a busy private teaching studio in Blue Hill, ME, where she lived with her husband and three children for three years. She continues to spend summer in Maine with her family.
