Halcyon String Quartet to perform The Story of Ferdinand at Ellsworth Community Music Institute on October 25

ELLSWORTH - Ellsworth Community Music Institute (ECMI) hosts The Story of Ferdinand, performed by the Halcyon String Quartet on Saturday, October 25 at 3:00 pm. Halcyon's fourth annual family performance features Munro Leaf's beloved children's book, The Story of Ferdinand. With narration by Luke Fatora, Halcyon will sweep you up on a musical tour of the string quartet that culminates in a musical performance of “Ferdinand” combining music, story, and illustration.

Halcyon String Quartet musicians to perform are: Josie Davis & Sophie Davis, violin; Colin Wheatley, viola; Julia Henderson, cello; and Luke Fatora, narrator.

The event will be held at the Moore Community Center Theater, 125 State Street in Ellsworth, Maine. This special offering for children and children at heart is presented by the Blue Hill Concert Association. Admission is free to the public.
